CONSULTATION

During your consultation, we will conduct a comprehensive review of your medical history, encompassing your current and past health issues. This information is integral to your consultation and may influence the treatment plan we recommend. It is imperative that you share as much relevant information as possible with your Practitioner. Photos may be taken during the consultation to aid our understanding of your condition. Rest assured that this information will be handled confidentially in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

EXAMINATION

After taking your medical history, we will explain our thoughts regarding the nature of your complaint and discuss with you the examination we need to carry out. If you have any questions or concerns about the examination, please feel free to discuss them with us in advance, and we will address any queries you may have. We may make observations to your posture, and assess movement in all directions – making note of any restrictions or pain. We will perform a palpatory assesment to find areas of soreness. We may also perform special tests to assess the condition of nerves, joints, muscles and ligaments.  Following the examination, we will provide you with their initial diagnosis and outline the treatment plan designed to address the problem.

TREATMENT

Before commencing your treatment, you will be asked to undress down to your underwear, and we will provide blankets and towels to ensure your comfort and modesty. If you are uncomfortable with this request, please discuss it with your practitioner. We are open to accommodating alternative options like loose-fitting clothing or leggings.  Our treatments involves fine needles being inserted through the skin and briefly left in position. We use a variety of massage, mobilisation and stretching techniques to improve freedom of movement in joints and muscles, relieve tension, and promote good circulation. This helps create the best possible conditions for problem areas to heal quickly and regain their strength and ease of movement.  We also provide advice on exercise, posture and ergonomics, and other techniques to aid fast recovery.
